Brian Kessman founded Lodestar Agency Consulting in April of 2016 based on his twenty years of experience in the creative services industry. After observing and solving the same operational and workflow issues at several different agencies, he founded Lodestar to offer his expertise in overcoming these complex challenges.
Both former agency and client-side marketing leaders make up our team, so we understand both sides of your business. This understanding is fundamental to our consulting and workshop programs.
Our guiding principles
Based on this understanding of the nature of creative agencies, and knowing what marketers want from their partners, we believe agencies need to operate with greater speed and agility—but not by adopting the standard Agile practices that were originally designed for software companies. Creative teams need a different approach, adapted to their specific needs. To that end, we have distilled and adjusted the original Agile principles and Lean philosophies into relevant guidelines that are specific to the creative environment. These guidelines help us design our consulting and workshop programs. The outcomes that they produce for our clients are the lodestar for our work.
